Hi, my name is Usman Nyallay, and I am a junior studying Biomedical Engineering at Case Western Reserve University, with a concentration in Biomedical Instrumentation and Devices. My research experience includes neural engineering and electrophysiology, in which I investigate neuronal activity using mouse hippocampal brain slice models.

I am particularly interested in the development of biomedical technologies that bridge engineering and medicine, with broader interests in neuroscience, biomedical instrumentation, and medical device development. I am excited to expand my research experience through work in the Biomedical Ultrasound Lab and to learn more about how ultrasound-based technologies can be applied to address healthcare challenges.

Hello! I am Samhitha Bodangi, and I am currently a sophomore studying Biomedical Engineering and Computer Science. Previously, my research experience focused on genomics and analyzing neuroinflammation in rat models via PET/CT.

I am interested in diagnostics and medical imaging, specifically in applying computational tools to make them more precise and accessible. At the Lu Lab, I look forward to working towards enhancing current ultrasound tools to improve healthcare outcomes.
