We are always looking for highly motivated trainees to join the team!
We foster a collaborative and rigorous environment that empowers trainees from all backgrounds to learn, innovate, and grow as independent scientists and engineers. Trainees receive formal instruction in biomedical ultrasound research, imaging physics, instrumentation, computational methods, and scientific communication.
If you are interested in working together:
Graduate students: Please consider applying to the CWRU BME PhD program and get in touch with Dr. Lu to hear about opportunities in the group. When reaching out, please include a brief introduction outlining your research experience, interests, and long-term career goals.
Postdoc scholars: We are particularly interested in candidates with experience in ultrasound therapy, ultrasound imaging, transducer hardware & electronics, and computational modeling. Interested applicants should email Dr. Lu with a CV and a cover letter describing research experience and future career plans.
MD-PhD students: We welcome motivated MSTP students for rotation and/or joining the group to conduct PhD dissertation work. When reaching out, please include a brief introduction outlining your research experience, interests, and long-term career goals.
Undergraduate students: If you are interested in joining the lab, please email Dr. Lu with a brief introduction that includes your research interests, anticipated time commitment (hours/week), and expected duration in the lab.
To get a better sense of whether the BUL group would be a good fit for you, prospective members are recommended to read the lab manual.
